Added Immortal Drones Bug

CSY: Only 1 ground simulated empire if done strategically

Description: Even when you click on "Set Enemy Units", only 1 simulated empire is used when it is done (strategic combat only).
Known Workaround: Upgrade to the newest version, and use only tactical simulator.

CSY: Ground Tactical Combat malfunctions

Description: Ground Tactical Combat Troops and Militia do not move even when it is not simulated!
Known Cause: Engines per Move Line was 0 for the troops
Known Workaround: Upgrade to the newest version.

Fosnock: My "troops" don't have crews no matter what I try to do. This they don't move. They are only required to have a cockpit this it must be a problem with the code.

Warp Points Near Black Holes

Description: Warp points set near black holes can not be entered.
Possible Cause: There seems to be some failsafe in the code that doesn't allow you to order a ship to get close to a black hole.
Workaround: When creating a new game don't use the option that warp points can be anywhere in the system especially if you are creating an Ancient galaxy.

Orders don't clear if out of movement points

Description: When a ship reaches it's destination and is also out of movement points, the orders don't clear. This is especially annoying around black holes since they move you after the end of your turn. This causes your ship to waste two movement points at the beginning of your next turn because it thinks that it still needs to get to that destination.
Possible Cause: Error in code?
Workaround: If you have a ship that is in a system where it could be moved by some outside force and you've already reached your destination, make sure to clear your orders on that ship before ending your turn.

Exception Window and White Screen

When ending the turn an Exception Window appears on a white screen background. Window reads:

EXCEPTION

TDirect3DxFile. Start - Cant find xfile.

Access Violation at address 0484C3 in module 'SE5.exe. Read of address 00000000

When I press the ok button on window it disappears and I end up with a blank white screen. I can get back to my Windows screen by using the windows key or ctrl-alt-del. Every time I try to continue playing it results in this exception window.

I have updated to Version 1.13

I am playing the single player Quick Start Game.

My computer: CPU - AMD 2500+ Video - ATI 9800xp with 256 ram Memory - 1g Windows XP Home, sp2 currently up to date all drivers up to date. DX 9c

Any help appreciated

CSY: Construction Rating does not display correctly (1.13, 1.17, 1.20)

Description: The rating in which planets, ships, or bases can build do not display correctly in the Construction Queues Window. This only happens while the planet, ship, or base is on Emergency or Slow Build.
Known Workaround: View construction queues of each planet, ship, or base, that is on Emergency or Slow Build, individually.

CSY: Design Statistics do not display correctly after an edit. (1.17 and 1.20)

Description: When you edit a ship design, it's statistics either go wrong or do not update themselves.
Known Workaround: Save the game and reload it.

Transfer Cargo instead of Recover Unit (1.20)

Bug: If you have a satellite group with supplies on board and you use the Transfer Cargo window to move the satellites from the group to a container, the supplies are still listed in the satellite group with zero quantity after the move. Trying to transfer this zero amount of supplies crashes the game.

Workaround: Don't do that. Use the Launch/Recover window instead, like you're supposed to.

Comments: This was when I had just started playing, and it took an embarrassing number of repetitions for me to figure out what was going on. I don't remember whether the container in question was a ship or a planet. Not sure if it matters. Adeilt 05:40, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Sort Bug List?

It's OK to move every bug that still exists up to a new 'Bugs in 1.63' section, right? Maybe there should be an added 'first version seen in' section to the bug then, though.

Empty Mines Won't Explode

Using Unnamed's Mod, version 1.07, and the 1.66 patch, the AI is making mines without warheads. These mines, being empty, do not explode upon enemies entering the sector, and cannot be shot down in combat, but force the combat to run until its maximum time. They also stay there, of course, adding to score, etc, until I can sweep them. Ronik 00:50, 20 December 2007 (EST)

Ships Start Inside Planets In Combat

Under certain conditions, ships and probably other units can start inside a planet, rather than beside or above. It likely has to do with everything starting with a default 'height' of 0, no matter where. It can cause some things to be unselectable to a human, who must let the computer target the units. This bug was seen as of 1.66. Ronik 23:29, 20 December 2007 (EST)

Chasing Fighters Won't Chase Enough

If something short-ranged like a fighter tries to chase something that's moving too quickly, like another fighter, it may not chase it far enough to be within range of its weapon. So, it may go to a range of 20, then turn away because it can fire, then start chasing again because it wasn't able to fire because of the range/speed of movement. It does not always happen if the ship being pursued is not fast enough, but it is otherwise present in version 1.66 Ronik 22:13, 23 December 2007 (EST)

Design Types

Satellite layer is missing from the default list, and the ability to add new design types ingame is missing as well. There are other types of designs which are not in the list, which a player should be able to add, such as Supply Ships. This is there in version 1.66 Ronik 22:13, 23 December 2007 (EST)

Display Change Crashes

If the resolution changes while SEV is running, it will crash. It also crashes when my computer goes to the 'logon' screen and makes the monitor sleep, as per my power settings. The error it generally shows for these crashes is "Canvas does not allow drawing." This happens with version 1.66. Ronik 22:13, 23 December 2007 (EST)
