Is Command and Control listed as official components?

I was wondering, for encyclopedic reference, if "command and control" is the official game name for the components "life support," "bridge," and "crew quarters." inigma 23:13, 18 October 2005 (BST)


Specifically references as such in the FAQ,

  • 2.3.4.8 Computer Viruses are the bane of Master Computer equipped ships. For larger ships, you might *consider adding 1 Bridge, 1 Life Support, and 1 Crew Quarter component in addition to the Master *Computer. 1 of each is all you need to maintain full command and control of the ship (ie: no loss of *movement). Surely, adding the extra C&C components is more expensive in cost and size than just the *Master
