The Sharlon (aka mf_Sharlon) is a shipset created for Space Empires IV by Michael Fast and Andrés Lescano. The Sharlon are gaseous beings that like a hydrogen gas giant environment. There appear to be both 1.49 and 1.67-friendly AIs for this shipset.

The Sharlon can be considered a 'sister' shipset to the Crauw
