Racename AI Settings.txt (SEIV)
From SEWiki
AI_Settings.txt defines miscellaneous behavioral settings.
Settings
Max Ship Size Tonnage From Start 1 Amount := 510 Max Ship Size Tonnage From Start 1 Num Turns := 20 Max Ship Size Tonnage From Start 2 Amount := 610 Max Ship Size Tonnage From Start 2 Num Turns := 40 Max Ship Size Tonnage From Start 3 Amount := 0 Max Ship Size Tonnage From Start 3 Num Turns := 0
These settings restrict the maximum hull size the AI will use for ship design in the beginning stages of the game. The main purpose is to allow the AI to build enough small, cheap ships to grow the empire to the point where it can reasonably support larger ships.
Turns to Wait until next attack := 6
This value is used to provide the AI enough time to rebuild its forces before it launches its next invasion attempt.
Maximum Maintenance Percent of Revenue := 80
This setting is used to prevent the AI from spending all of its resources on maintaining ships, thus preventing facility construction and further expansion.
Maximum Research Point Generation := 100000 Maximum Intelligence Point Generation := 100000
Exact function unknown. Surmise that they either prevent construction of new facilities, or they prevent assignment of new colony types.
Maximum Systems to Defend at a Time := 3
This setting is designed to prevent the AI from trying to spread its defense ships too thinly, thus making every system a trivial target.
Get Angry Over Allied Colonizable Planets := True Get Angry Over Enemy Colonizable Planets := True
These settings control whether or not mood towards another empire changes when colonies are present in a claimed system. Note that when an AI colonizes a planet in a system, it automatically claims that system, and all systems connected by 1 warp point.
Percentage of Allied Planets to consider as Attack Locations for Anger := 10 Percentage of Enemy Planets to consider as Attack Locations for Anger := 10
Exact function unknown. Surmise that they are used somewhere in the AI attack minister's calculations.
Personality Group := 0
Personality groups are loose collections of races based on behavioral tendencies (eg: aggressive races, peaceful races). They are used when random AI races are selected at game start. SE4 will select a certain percentage of total races from each Personality Group, according to the Random Player Personality Groups fields in Settings.txt.
Ships don't move through minefields := false Ships don't move through restricted systems := false
These settings correspond to the in-game settings of the same name. They affect the pathing routines.
Clear orders on encounter enemy := false Clear orders on encounter all := false
These settings correspond to the in-game settings of the same name. When true, they cause all ship orders to be immediately cleared when appropriate alien forces are encountered. This can allow the AI to reevaluate ship orders when unforseen enemies are encountered.
Percentage of total satellites to keep as planetary cargo := 40 Percentage of total drones to keep as planetary cargo := 40
These settings prevent every unit from being launched automatically. Reserved units will be available for cargo ships and launching ships to pick up and use elsewhere. All unreserved units will be immediately launched into space by the constructing planet.
Number Of Anti-Ship Drones Per Target := 3 Number Of Anti-Planet Drones Per Target := 3
These control the "overkill" factor for Drones. The higher these values, the more drones will be sent against each selected target.
Maximum Anti-Ship Drone Target System Distance := 5 Maximum Anti-Planet Drone Target System Distance := 5
These settings control how far away considered targets can be for each drone.
