Moon

Sometimes you'll get more than one planet in a sector. When you see this, the smaller world(s) are moons in orbit of the planet. They are exactly like planets in every practical way.

In the standard game, moons are always tiny rock or ice worlds with no atmosphere (Unless they've been destroyed and re-formed using stellar manipulation, or had an atmosphere added with the Atmospheric Modification Plant). Some mods allow more varied types of moon.
