Drow
From SEWiki
General information : The Drow are a fictional species of Dark Elves from the Dungeons & Dragons Universe. The shipset was developed from a slightly modified version of Xaren Hypr's Blackstar shipset, with select custom images added as needed. It can be found at SE-IV Play-by-Web
Biological Description : The Drow, like Terrans, are bipedal humanoids divided into two sexes. Drow are characterized by white or silver hair, slate-black skin, and steel-gray eyes. Drow are extremely intelligent and dexterous, but are anti-social beings and usually avoid massing in large groups and generally cope well with a solitary life. Having adapted to the harsh surface conditions of their homeworld The Drow went underground and live in huge subterranean cities that are interconnect with other cities through a series of sophisticated tunnels. While not the strongest of species, the Drow are tougher and stronger than Humans, and possess a form of ESP that enables them to be slightly psychic. Drow can go days without water, weeks without food. They can survive cold temperatures to a far greater degree than most other races, or high temperature environments that could kill most beings in as little as a day. Their ability to adapt is probably one of the Drow race's most powerful genetic trait.
Society Description : The Drow Imperium is governed by a very controlling High Lord. The limited numbers of freedoms granted by this system result in feelings of oppression and anger amongst the general population. However, the population does have limited freedom and openness that can sometimes be exploited and make them vulnerable to infiltration. The High Lord keeps the population under control by preaching that the Drow are the Gods chosen race. Over the history of the Drow people many holy wars have been fought in the name of their Gods.
General History Description : With such a rich and diverse history, providing even a brief summary of Drow history would take volumes. We know that the Drow evolved from an unknown humanoid race that they were driven into exile from. Before settling their new homeworlds they spent a nomadic life being attacked and hunted by various other races. As a result, they have become extremely proficient at that art of war. The Drow are also known for never taking prisoners, except for a select few who are severely tortured during interrogations, and ultimately terminated when their usefulness is at an end.
