The Blackstar nexus is a SEIV shipset, created by Xaren Hypr. There are no AI files with the set, so little is known about them. However, from the race portrait and chatter on Shrapnel forums, they would appear to be humanoid machines of some sort. The set is fully Neostandard compliant.
