Battlestar Galactica Mod (SEV)

The Battlestar Galactica Mod encompasses the ideas and visual effects of the new series.
Overview
Some ideas being incorporated into the mod include:
- The 12 Colonial Colonies each with a unique skill or racial trait that will allow access to special ship types, ability bonuses (and penalties) and technology.
- The 12 Cylon models as selectable racial trait types, each with a unique access to special ships, ability bonuses (and penalties) and technology.
- A Special ship category called support craft with unique abilities to represent the series use of FTL style fighters and resource processing ships.
- A weapon and armor system unique to the mod. This approach eliminates all shield types and instead uses armor types and special fielding effects for radiation protection. The weapon systems will be more in line with kinetic energy. It will therefore include accelerated mass railgun systems as well as missile systems that you can use to target the specific ship you select during combat.
- A user interface with the RDM style of the Battlestar Galactica series to include unique visual effects, sounds and fonts.
- Unique components and a unique technology tree that will follow the series more closely.
- Colonial Shipset will be specifically oriented to the new series look and feel while the Cylon set will contain two versions: RDMCylon Shipset and TOSCylon Shipset
- A special battle debris and salvage operation capability especially scripted for the BSG mod. The bigger the battles, the bigger the debris fields and the bigger the the salvage operation.
