Captain Kwok's Balance Mod for SE5 aims to improve game play, balance, and AI without changing the overall flavor of the stock game too much.

Overview

The Balance Mod attempts to provide a set of balanced data files for Space Empires V that retain the spirit of the standard game. It was originally intended as a replacement for the standard data set before Space Empires V was released, but due to time constraints it was decided that it would be better suited as a separate mod. Notable changes in the Balance Mod include proportional propulsion requirements, changes to the technology tree and a more competitive AI.

The latest version is 1.16, which is compatible with the English v1.74 of Space Empires V.
