This shows the Colonial Shipset by category. The Colonial combat ships are based on a fighter support oriented defense and offensive capability. The fighters provide advanced recon, space superiority, combat space patrol (CSP), special mission support, and planetary assault and defense roles. Every ship class in the Colonial military normally has flight pods to support a mission adaptable fighter contingent. The fighter contingent is dependent on the capital ship mission roll assigned, the carrier series are designed to accommodate several squadrons of fighters and specialty craft while the battleship is designed to accommodate a strike and recon squadron.
